Lost Mine of Phandelver
Honored former member of the famous griffon cavalry of Waterdeep
Sildar is a kindhearted man of nearly fifty winters who holds a place of honor in the famous griffon cavalry of Waterdeep.
Sildar met Gundren Rockseer in Neverwinter and agreed to accompany him back to Phandalin. Sildar was hoping to discover the fate of Iarno Albrek, a human wizard and fellow Lord’s Alliance member who disappeared shortly after arriving in Phandalin. Silder hoped to learn what happened to Iarno, assist Gundren in reopening the old mine, and help restore Phandalin to a civilized canter of wealth and prosperity.
Along the way to Phandalin, Sildar and Gundren were ambushed by Cragmaw goblins. Sildar was tortured and ridiculed while he remained the cruel creatures’ captive. At the brink of death, Sildar was rescued by the heroes, but due to the state of the party, had to flee before they could finish clearing out the goblin menace, led by Klarg.
Sildar has set up residence in the Townmasters Hall. He has little faith in the current Townmaster of Phandalin, Harbin Wester, and has taken upon himself to bring some order and organization to Phandalin. Sildar paid the heroes a reward for their removal of the Redbrands, as well as their continued silence as to the the true fate of Iarno Albrek aka The Glass Staff..
The Seekers accomplished Sildar’s tasks by Uktar 20, 1491 DR. Brother Seeker Rosch Uskevren and Orlose Cherboga have suggested Sildar use his contacts to have The Lord’s Alliance attempt to reclaim Cragmaw Castle.
The Seekers returned Sildar’s sword, which they found in Cragmaw. Sildar was so grateful that he has told the Seekers he owes them a favor.
